Many years ago, in the streets of Romanian villages, people of all ages, with the same enthusiasm, gathered around the most beloved of mortals – those who made and offered ice cream. Made in a barrel, in the snow, with salt and ice, the hard work was fully rewarded more by wide smiles and the feeling that any day can be better…just with an ice cream. Is it really a barrel in which we make ice cream?
Yes, it is indeed a barrel with ice, with a capacity of 50 kg, where the ice cream is made from scratch, using carefully chosen natural ingredients that meet high quality standards. In the barrel, a large stainless steel pot is placed in which the whole milk is mixed with the cream for each variety until the content freezes.
“It is a business that I started to show people that Romanians can do more than just import things. I set out to bring tradition into modernity. I started in 2011, with some ice cream machines with which I went through the blocks in Bucharest. Not having too many events, I told myself that I had to find something, something that would reach the heart,” says Adrian.
